Practical Course – Dysphagia Diets for IDDSI18 Jun 2019
The serious risks associated with dysphagia can mean that foods with certain textures may be recommended. This cooking for IDDSI practical course gives you all the skills you need to make food that is simple to prepare and delicious to eat.
In the UK these recommendations adhere to the INTERNATIONAL DYSPHAGIA DIET STANDARDISATION INITIATIVE – IDDSI.
Myth – Many people believe that restrictions of food textures mean a restricted choice of foods.
This can have very serious consequences and lead to malnutrition, dehydration and anxiety.
It doesn’t have to be this way.

Oak House Kitchen have created a cookery course that dispels this myth and shows you how approach ingredients and use simple cooking and processing techniques to easily make all of your favourite foods suitable for IDDSI and dysphagia diets.
